An international workshop on Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Items (CFSI) was held in Ankara on 7–8 October 2026, hosted by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of Türkiye (NDK) in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (OECD/NEA).
Bringing together regulatory bodies, representatives of the nuclear industry and other relevant stakeholders, the workshop addressed the challenges encountered in enhancing integrity in the nuclear supply chain, the root causes of these problems, and the methods and practices available for preventing and detecting them.
Through the presentations, assessments and group exercises conducted during the workshop, participants shared knowledge and experience, and considered approaches to strengthening cooperation between regulatory bodies and industry, identifying practicable solutions to the problems encountered, and maintaining and restoring integrity in the supply chain.
