President Dr. Zafer DEMİRCAN and his delegation attended the ATOMEXPO Forum on 21-22 November.
The NDK Delegation headed by the President of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority Dr. Zafer DEMİRCAN, attended the 12th ATOMEXPO Forum held on 21-22 November 2022 in Sochi, Russia.
Organized as an exhibition and business platform to discuss the current state of the nuclear industry and identify future trends, the Forum was held this year with the main theme of "Nuclear Spring: Creating a Sustainable Future."
At the opening session of the Forum, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources (MENR) Alparslan BAYRAKTAR gave a speech representing our country.
In the Gorum where panels and roundtable discussions took place with the participation of senior executives of the institutions responsible for nuclear regulation, companies working in the nuclear industry and government institutions; NDK President Dr. Zafer DEMİRCAN took part as a speaker at the “Harmonization of the Licensing Process: Utopia or Reality” session, where the licensing process and security reviews were discussed.
Afşin Burak BOSTANCI, General Director of Nuclear Energy and International Projects at MENR, gave a speech at the session titled "Diversification of Solutions for the «Green» Energy Transition.”
During the Forum, a series of meetings were held with the managers of the relevant institutions and organizations.
